Angles,Aryans.Romans,Arabs
Neither of these four was large in number when they characterized their culture.
If you look at the world today,
Angles have developed their language into English, which is the dominating lingua franca all over the world. Aryans and their Sanskrit and their tales of Rama and Krishna have influenced the entire Indian Subcontinent and South-East Asia.
But nothing compares to the last two in the list.
Romans, giving birth to the plethora of languages in Europe that now are spreading to every corner of the world, have been a unique success story.
Latin, their language, was spoken in a small portion of Italy around 300BC. Today, all European languages borrow heavily from it. Even English is no exception to that.
And the enigmatic sons of sand, the Arabs, with their Quran, and their Islam, have captured the imagination of souls in far flung places.
Arabic has filled languages as varied as French to Persian to Hindi with its vocabulary.
Amazing how such a small fraction of the world's population, managed to dominate the thoughts and words of the majority.
